Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
There are few things in life as aesthetically pleasing as a newly
opened Apple product before it's got fingerprints on it.
Responsive, fast, all round impressive example of an HTML5 mobile web
app. Interested to know whether Twitter built their own framework to
deliver this; it takes the crown from the also rather good mobile
version of 37signals Basecamp.
Just a little idea I'm working on...
Good tunes on Spotify. A brand new idea in Coda. Some interesting feeds waiting to be read...
After a few connectivity 'near misses' in the past couple of weeks, where I found myself stranded without WiFi and urgent emails to send I decided to treat myself to a MiFi.
I've gone for the Huawei E585 version sold by Three UK, mainly because the PAYG deal is really well priced - £70 for the MiFi plus 3GB of data. I can't quite understand why Vodafone aren't offering this kind of arrangement with their version.
More importantly the 3 version of the E585 seems to be pretty easy to unlock. There are quite a few tools and guides available on the web, some free, some for a very small payment. All a mobile gadgeteer needs is an unlocked MiFi, a global list of telco broadband APN settings and a Wiki full of PAYG data plans to be able to access the web reasonably pretty much anywhere in the world.
I've rather fallen in love with the background texture image the iPad displays behind Safari windows. It looks pretty neat as a custom background image on a Gowalla or Twitter profile, and just as cool as desktop wallpaper.
